Eigenstate - A particle type Flash animation.
Eigenstate is an interactive work (if you have a camera,
type "c" to initialize: otherwise, use the space
bar to simulate movement) which explores the evolution
of the quantum-physical wave function in an unobserved
system, and its subsequent collapse under observation.
The evolving onscreen work may be interpreted as a representation,
in an arbitrary phase space, of multiple possible states
of a quantum system. The system "evolves" while
a camera detects no movement: when a movement threshold
is exceeded, the system "collapses" to a single,
observed path. |
